Zhangjiang Creative Industry Base     Creative Industry is the key emerging industry of Zhangjiang. Zhangjiang Creative Industry Base was initiated in August 2004. It is designed to develop on a market-oriented enterprise basis. The construction and development of the Base has been undertaken by Shanghai Zhangjiang Creative Industry Development Co., Ltd, which was jointly established by Shanghai Zhangjiang Group and Shanghai Wenhui Xinmin Press Group and will become a modern Creative Industry group based on Zhangjiang and open to the world as investment, management and operating platform of Creative Platform.     The development strategy of Zhangjiang Creative Industry Base is: Give full play to comprehensive advantage of Hi-Tech Park and the effect of “Focus Zhangjiang” and promote advanced culture and the integration of culture and high technology based on market and policy. Zhangjiang Creative Industry focuses on R&D, design and making of animation and cartoon, network games and hi-tech movies as well as industrial product design which are related to information industry at the Park, with an emphasis on Network Game and Animation Industry, to make Creative Industry a high-end industry with global competitiveness and sustainable growth capacity, show the five primary function of "R&D, training, incubation, trading and demonstration”, set up a market operating platform of transnational cultural exchange and cultural trading, striving to become an important base for Shanghai to drive cultural innovation.     Large domestic and overseas companies in network cultural industry such as EA, SNDA, the9, Joy Park, CORE and movie post producers such as Silicon Illusions and 创新科技 have settled at the Park by now, presenting lots of cultural technical innovative works, such as Magical Land presented by SNDA, Joy XY presented by the9, Super Frog Fighter (超级青蛙战士)and Shaolin Boy (少林小子) presented by SJS.     Shanghai Design Art School of China Academy of Art, Shanghai Movie Art Academy, Shanghai Theatre Academy Creation School (planned) settling at Zhangjiang not only makes the Industry-Academy-Research system at the Park more complete, but also infuses into the Base new creative ideas, promoting the creative level of the Base and ensure resources for sustainable development of Creative Industry of the Base.

Target: General target: Help to implement the general strategy of making Shanghai a international cultural industry city with advanced technology, multiple arts, fabulous culture and modern industry functionality, to pool approximately 200 culture enterprises and employ over 20 thousand people and cultivate world-class entities in Creative Industry in 5-10 years. Industry Planning: Focus on R&D, design and making of animation and cartoon, network games and hi-tech movies as well as industrial product design which are related to information industry at the Park and set up an investment, intermediary, demonstration, trading platform serving such industries, thus constituting a complete, associated and energetic industry chain and service chain of modern Creative Industry.   Industry Incubator 创意大厦, located at the crossroad of Zhangjiang Road and Zuchongzhi Road, covers an area of 4,536m2 ,with the construction area 10,065m2 R&D Platform—R&D Platform of Animation and Cartoon The R&D Platform of Animation and Cartoon, jointly established by local government of Pudong New Area, Zhangjiang Group and Shanghai Movie Art Academy, is aimed to give full play to the technical strength of Zhangjiang Park and perfect animation and cartoon chain basing Shanghai animation and cartoon industry.
